How to bulk remove white background from a picture

How to bulk remove white background from a picture

To remove a white background from multiple images at the same time you can use the ImageMagick convert command which is a command line utility. You can install ImageMagick on any platform (ie... Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS) and open a command prompt to run the following command to convert multiple images in a directory to a transparent background from another solid color. For this example we're converting .jpg files to .png files and going from a white background to a transparent background but you can change the command line below to fit your needs:

Having issues with "Symbolic link not allowed or link target not accessible" errors in apache log files on Fedora? Well you've come to the right place!

I'm pretty sure I just ran across the most annoying thing I've ever been confronted with while trying to run Apache with PHP via XAMPP on Fedora 11 with SELinux enabled. When you setup your httpd.conf to try and access directories in your home directory, by default you will not be successful. You might spend hours, or even days trying to figure out why apache can't access files in your home directory. The good news is that I have the solution, although it wasn't easy to put together, you'll be able to access files out of your home directory after following these steps.

421 Service not available, remote server has closed connection

421 Service not available, remote server has closed connection Login failed.

I was recently having an issue with Pure-FTPD when attempting to access the server under a particular user. The following is the output along with the error code:

PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 262144 bytes exhausted

PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 262144 bytes exhausted

I just ran across this issue and it threw me for a loop for several hours so I thought I would share the solution here. In my case I was attempting to reindex a Magento database via php cli on the command line, however this issue is not Magento specific. For those Magento folks out there here is the command line along with the full error message.
